Improved overview of companies and issuers that are excluded from Danske Invest funds
It is now easier for investors to see the companies and issuers that are excluded from each Danske Invest fund.
It is now easier to get an overview of the exclusions in Danske Invest's funds. As of today, investors, who wish to know which companies and issuers are excluded from a specific fund, will find a new, comprehensive overview of this on each fund's website on www.danskeinvest.lu.
”We have 18 exclusion categories that we use in various combinations across our funds to accommodate the different preferences among investors. With the new overview, we are making our exclusions more tangible, because investors can now easily see the specific exclusion categories that apply to a fund, and which companies and issuers the fund can’t invest in,” says Robert Mikkelstrup, CEO of Danske Invest.
WHAT IS AN EXCLUSION?
An exclusion excludes a company or issuer from the investments of a fund when the company or issuer does not meet the requirements that the fund has committed to complying with.
These may include companies involved in tobacco, coal, tar sands, pornography and controversial weapons, companies that operate in violation of international norms and conventions, or bond issuers from countries subject to international sanctions.
Important milestone in terms of increasing transparency
The new overview is just the latest initiative to ensure more transparency and openness about how Danske Invest works with responsible investments.
Earlier this year, Danske Invest’s prospectuses and website started showing the extent to which exclusions that apply to a particular fund are expected to affect its investment universe. This information is also part of the new overview.
”Danske Invest is committed to making it as easy as possible for investors to understand how we work with responsibility across our funds and what it means for the individual fund. The new overview is an important milestone in this work,” says Robert Mikkelstrup.
How to find the exclusion lists
The lists of excluded companies and issuers be found via the website for each fund on www.danskeinvest.lu
